A man was hit by a vehicle near the entrance to the San Antonio, Texas, highway on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m. at the intersection of Interstate 35 and San Antonio Highway, said Brian O’Brien, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The driver, identified by authorities as 46-year-old John J. Roush, of Austin, Texas was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, O’Brien said.
Rouh was taken into custody at the scene and taken to the state’s Capital Regional Medical Center, where he is being treated, Oberst said.
Roush was driving north on Interstate 35 when he lost control and hit a guardrail.
He was traveling at a speed of 40 mph, Oberg said.
