Highway 90 closed between Highway 99 and the California-Oregon border on Tuesday after heavy rains caused extensive damage to highway and bridges.
The state Highway Patrol tweeted that the bridge at Highway 99 was closed for repairs, but it remained open to the public and vehicles were allowed to cross the highway.
Highway 99 remains closed in both directions between Highway 97 and Highway 99, which includes the Highway 99 Bridge.
The closure is expected to last a few days.
The California Department of Transportation tweeted that Highway 99 will reopen to traffic later this afternoon.
The highway was reopened in mid-July.
